Bilerro's software assets provide its customers with fast, robust, and versatile integrations

August 22, 2024
Bilerro's software asset ecosystem allows embedded system implementation projects to be tackled with greater agility and reliability, guaranteeing customers more efficient integrations in terms of both time and cost.

Bilerro has more than 25 years of experience successfully completing embedded systems integration projects in the railway sector, including train-to-train and train-to-ground communications management systems, passenger information systems, entertainment systems, and CCTV systems, among others. Throughout this extensive track record of integration projects, we have acquired broad knowledge and expertise, enabling us to develop software assets that comply with the rigorous quality standards required in the railway environment.

This facilitates their use in subsequent integration projects and significantly reduces the need to undertake implementations from scratch. Starting integrations from an advanced stage brings substantial benefits to our customers, allowing projects to be delivered more efficiently in terms of both time and cost.
Software assets are part of the ecosystem that enables us to tackle embedded systems integration projects. Within this ecosystem, a range of suitably adapted and customized elements coexist:

  • Microservices: These applications are developed in accordance with Bilerro’s established design standards. They form part of an efficient and secure integration ecosystem. These microservices are designed to be reused in future projects and adapted to the specific needs of each customer, providing greater efficiency in terms of both time and cost.
  • Customized components: These consist of third-party services or applications configured based on predefined patterns. Their prior customization and integration within Bilerro’s ecosystem provide customers with levels of efficiency and speed that would not be possible if development from scratch were required.
  • Embedded operating systems: Optimizing resource utilization through the adaptation of our embedded operating systems enables us to select the most efficient equipment for each integration. We develop our components so they are fully abstracted from hardware, allowing us to maintain an open product catalog with agile obsolescence management. This delivers strong differentiation in the market, highly valued by our customers, especially when compared with proprietary embedded system solutions.
  • Standardized structures for data and state storage: We design and optimize our data patterns based on experience gained from projects, achieving the efficiency and consistency required by embedded systems.
  • Parameterization patterns: Using and deploying pre-parameterized and preconfigured code is more efficient, viable, and reliable, as it builds upon elements whose baseline behaviors have already been validated.
  • Digital tools repository: These are digital tools designed to support system implementation, operation, and maintenance activities. Among others, the Remote Management System (RMS) platform, together with the ik-Route tool, enable secure deployment, configuration, monitoring, and updating of our systems, both locally and remotely. In addition, the Analytic-based Maintenance Service (AMS) platform enhances the rest of the tools through predictive analytics.
These software assets represent a competitive advantage for Bilerro by ensuring technical feasibility and agility in the required integrations, positioning us as a highly competitive systems integrator, particularly in projects involving significant refurbishment and reuse.

In short, we offer a strong value proposition based on our software assets and extensive experience in embedded systems integration, making Bilerro the ideal choice for the efficient and viable execution of complex integration projects.
