Bilerro offers Talgo advanced maintenance services to improve the efficiency of its trains and provide a better service to passengers

Bilerro, a company specializing in digital business transformation, continues to consolidate its position in the railway sector, which already accounts for 15% of its turnover in Spain as a whole. It is doing so through 5G technology, whose capabilities it is currently testing in the field of advanced train maintenance.

The incorporation of digital technology into train operations means minimizing unexpected stoppages due to breakdowns, improving the planning of maintenance stops, reducing repair and inspection times, and facilitating continuous improvement in the train's life cycle, among other benefits.

Ikusi's participation in 5G Euskadi will enable it to continue offering the most advanced response to its customers' needs, as it has been doing with the application of 4G in companies such as Talgo, for whom it has developed a remote maintenance project for its trains, which has led to the digital transformation of the railway company.

Specifically, Ikusi has implemented an IoT program for massive data ingestion, capturing 30,000 variables per second on trains traveling at 300 km/h, and has applied data analytics, with descriptive and predictive analysis. All of this allows Talgo to know the status of its trains and anticipate possible failures, increasing the availability of its units and minimizing maintenance costs.

Now, it is expected that Ikusi's advances and knowledge in 5G, thanks to its participation in 5G Euskadi, will translate into the expansion of the scope of projects already carried out in 4G and other previous technologies.
