The maintenance services company Actren, formed by CAF and RENFE, has contracted Bilerro for a project to upgrade the passenger information systems on 27 Series 120 trains.

This contract comes after Bilerro consolidated its relationship with this strategic client throughout 2017 by developing several pilot projects for router servers and IP communications infrastructure on board its commuter (Civia) and long-distance (Alvia) platforms.

Bilerro's passenger information system is a comprehensive solution that improves the user experience through interactive audiovisual content in the form of information, entertainment, or advertising. Based on real-time data obtained from operational systems, it provides information on schedules, services, real-time traffic status, and incidents, among other things.

Actren Mantenimiento Ferroviario S.A. was established on May 17, 2007, with a 51% stake held by CAF and 49% by RENFE-Operadora, with the aim of providing comprehensive maintenance services for trains and railway facilities. It has a maintenance contract with RENFE until 2022.
